Riverheads ran basically 2 plays: power toss with the qb leading (hugh wyatt double wing style) and toss counter.
Gate City ran the ball down Gretna's throats. That is about all you can say. As far as Gretna is concerned, Nic Miller is a beast. Gate City did a good job of containing him for the most part. They were just much more physical than Gretna.
I don't think Riverhead would have ran it as easy on Clintwood. like you said they basically ran two plays and East Mont just couldn't stop it. They could have just had the tackles go low and had more success I thought. But they where in goal line it looked like and still couldn't slow it down. It was impressive preformance by Riverhead.Quote:

They dominated the line of scrimmage and controlled the clock plus didn't turn it over. Old school.... Gate City just whipped them up front all night. They didn't have any answer. They knew once Gate City had the ball it would be 7 or 8 minutes of 4,5,6,7 yards right down the field.....
